Okay so have you ever watched the movie" The Devil Wears Prada"? Well I work for the real one at this bridal and formal dress boutique. At first she fools you ,making you think she's this sweet nice old lady but I'm telling you she is the devil in disguise.
For example, I put together 3 tuxedos for a local fashion show. I literally built each suit. Choose three different types of coats , three funky colored vests, found some stylish shirts and pants that fit the models that I personally measured. I then steamed and pressed the suits and finally shined the shoes until you could see your face in them.
Did that nasty old woman care? All she cared about was that one of the hangers that I put a pair of pants on was bent and little crooked. Gave me a ten minute lecture on how the bent hanger was an embarrassment to the store. She didn't care that I took on the responsibility of putting the outfits together without being asked or the time and effort that I put in.
So as she was ranting and raving about the stupid hanger i was thinking these 3 things:
1. Only the models would have seen the hanger.
2. I can't believe she is fussing over a stupid hanger.
3. The bent hanger is from your own store , it's not like I brought the hanger from home. If the hanger is such an embarrassment , buy some new hangers!!!!!
So this week I found a clip from the movie " A devil wears Prada" where the character played by Anne Hathaway is trying so hard to please her boss but doesn't matter. Why because her boss is a word that rhymes with itch. Something i can totally identify with.
